The Michigan Society of Herpetologists (MSH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to member and non-member education about reptiles and amphibians.

Membership Information
Junior Membership: ($12 Annually)
A Membership that is restricted to persons under 17 years of age and includes all individual membership rights with the exception of voting and holding office. As a Junior Member you will be able to partipate in our Junior Herpetologist Program. Individual Memberhsip: ($15 Annually)
A Membership that allows one person the membership privileges of voting, monthly newsletters and meetings, members rates at MSH functions, free classified ads, and library use. Family Membership: ($20 Annually)
A Membership that includes membership rights (see individual membership) for all family members at one mailing address (one newsletter per month). Voting priveleges are restricted to a maximum of two family members 17 years of age or older. Organizational Membership: ($30 Annually)
A Membership that provides membership rights to two individuals from the organization, one newsletter per month mailed to the organization, and a free business card ad placed in newsletter and on the website. Sponsorship Membership: ($100 Annually)
A Membership that is an upgrade to any of the above memberships. This membership has all the rights of a family membership or an Organizational membership depending on whether or not the sponsor is an organization or a family. This membership provides additional support for the many programs the society does throughout the year. By being a sponsorship member the member is entitled to a free T-shirt of the latest design each year they renew as a sponsor. Meeting Information
MSH holds its general meetings alternately in the cities of Lansing and Grand Rapids. Meetings are generally held on the third Saturday of the month. (Check the Calendar to be sure.) Meetings are open to the public and the society encourages anyone with an interest in herpetology to attend.

John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids (links to Yahoo Maps)
The John Ball Zoo is located at the corner of Fulton and Valley (1300 W. Fulton), two miles west of downtown Grand Rapids, with easy access from I-196 and US-131. Meetings are held in the lower level of the pavilion, located near the parking lots and outside of the perimeter fence of the zoo.

Scott Center in Lansing (links to Yahoo Maps)
The Scott Center is located at 125 W. Main Street where Capitol Avenue dead-ends at Main Street. Main Street is the freeway access road that runs immediately south of I-496 in downtown Lansing.
Eastbound I-496: Take the Pine-Walnut Street exit. Which will exit you onto Main Street. The third light will be at the driveway to the Scott Center. Turn right into driveway and it is the building on the left.
Westbound I-496: Take the Downtown-Grand Ave. exit. Cross Grand Ave., cross the first light at Washington Ave., turn left (south) at the next light at Capital Ave., and get in the right hand lane immediately. One block up there is a light at Main Street. Your must be in the right hand lane to drive straight across to the dirve of the Scott Center.
